TecnoVeritas received the first prize of the Seatrade Awards 2012 on the Clean Shipping category, with its VEEO – Voyage Energy & Emissions Optimizer.

The 24th Seatrade Awards Ceremony Dinner took place on 14th of May at London’s Guildhall in the presence of IMO Secretary-General, Koji Sekimizu Chairman, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Chairman of the panel of judges of the Seatrade Awards and Guest speaker, and other important personalities such as Dr. John Koustas, Chairman of the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA), Capt. Graham Westgarth, Chairman of the International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (INTERTANKO), Nicolas Pappadakis, Chairman, International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (INTERCARGO), The Rt. Hon. The Lord Clinton-Davis, PC, Former Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Protection of the Sea (ACOPS), Yudhishthir Khatau, President of Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO).

Seatrade Awards is the world most respected and recognized global maritime award. The prestigious scheme rewards those projects who have demonstrated innovative solutions for safe, efficient and environmentally friendly shipping and meeting the goals and objectives of the IMO.
VEEO was originally designed to satisfy the IMO MEPC Cir. 684 and 683, and becoming an easy and practical tool for energy and emissions management on board and ashore.
