Over 70 key candidates of the world maritime industry run after the Seatrade Awards 2012 prize. TecnoVeritas was short listed together with two other interesting projects contributing for a Clean Shipping industry.

The winners will be announced on 14th of May at a ceremony dinner at the Guildhall of London, where the most important shipping organisations executives will gather.

For TecnoVeritas, being a Seatrade Awards finalist is a recognition of  excellence, innovation, dedication and passion imposed in all their products dedicated to the marine industry.

TecnoVeritas developed VEEO to help ship owners and their crews to make their ships more fuel efficient and therefore more environmentally friendly. By monitoring the vessel use of energy and emissions, VEEO  provides “on-line” crew awareness and advice of ship operation quality at any moment.

VEEO is also compliant with IMO MEPC.1/Circ684 of 17 of August 2009, producing weather related human error free reports on the energy efficiency of each ship system and emissions,  therefore becoming a valuable tool for the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) and future EEOI reporting.
VEEO had its Design Assessment Certificate for type approved equipment by the American Bureau of Shipping – ABS on the 15th of August 2011.

Dr. Jorge Antunes, Technical Director and CEO of TecnoVeritas said  “The Seatrade Awards are a benchmark for excellence in our industry. We are very honoured to have been selected as a finalist for the Clean Shipping category, as this reflects our commitment to our customers and to the maritime sustainability”.
