ISO/IEC 17025 is an exclusive standard for testing laboratories. Its purpose is to promote confidence in the operation of laboratories, identifying those that offer maximum confidence in their services.

This standard proves that the laboratory performs its activities with precision and obtains results of high quality and reliability.

In the accreditation process, laboratories are subject to evaluation by evaluating entities. Accreditation recognition gives the laboratory standard proof and its results are accepted globally (as they follow guidelines equivalent to international organizations).
