Pursuing its activities on the use of LNG on board ships, TecnoVeritas developed in cooperation with OCEAN a barge for LNG supply for the Portuguese ports of Sines, Setúbal and Lisbon.

A consortium was created with a number Portuguese companies, to produce and develop the required technology for existing ships conversion to operate with Natural Gas, covering: Port Infrastructure, Naval architecture, LNG bunkering barge, LNG bunker tanks production and Conversion to dual fuel operation of existing diesel engines by designing retrofitting kits. As a consequence of the type of projects, a “turnkey” solution can be delivered by this consortium for any type of vessels, covering all aspects.

TecnoVeritas extensive experience on diesel engines conversion to dual fuel operation has been developed since the year 2000 and supported by extensive research, in particular to the applicability of hydrogen as a fuel, opening new horizons to the use of hydrogen as a medium of waste energy storage and its reuse on board ships.
